Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov has secured a position in the top 10 of Ukraine's best universities according to the 2024 Consolidated Ranking of higher education institutions.

This was reported by the educational information resource «Osvita.ua».

According to the ranking, the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv continues to lead, maintaining its top position for the eighth consecutive year.

It is worth noting that in the overall 2023 ranking, Odesa National University ranked 8th.

The 2024 Consolidated Ranking of Ukrainian universities includes results from 235 higher education institutions.

To compile this comprehensive ranking, data from the most reputable national educational rankings, such as «Top-200 Ukraine», «Scopus», and «Ball NMT for Contracts», are utilized, each employing different evaluation criteria.

Previously, Odesa State Ecological University (ODEKU) ranked 15th among all Ukrainian universities in terms of effectiveness.

Additionally, at the beginning of 2024, it was announced that the Ministry of Education of Ukraine plans to merge Odesa Ecological University and the Physico-Chemical Institute for Environmental Protection and Human Safety into Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov as part of the university reorganization.
