Odessa celebrated Safe Internet Day by organizing a series of interactive lectures for students of secondary education titled “Safe Internet for Youth” and “Basics of Cybersecurity”. The primary goal of these lectures was to teach children how to use the internet safely and to recognize misinformation.

The lectures were led by Denis Popkov, a senior lecturer from the Department of Information Technology at Odessa National University, covering topics such as: the fundamentals of media literacy; guidelines for safe smartphone usage; risks associated with free Wi-Fi networks; enemy operations in the information space and the internet (manipulations, information special operations).

This series of lectures is a significant step towards raising children's awareness about cybersecurity and will help them feel more confident in the online environment.
