Today, new information stands were unveiled on the Heroes' Alley in Shevchenko Park, honoring 144 fallen defenders of Ukraine.
In total, the Heroes' Alley now displays information about 421 heroes. The effort to immortalize their memory continues.
“Each of these heroes is a fragment of the great strength that has allowed Ukraine to endure and continue its fight for a free future. Their bravery is the foundation of our independence, and we must remember this. Thanks to their dedication, we can live, work, and build the future of our nation today,” said Odesa mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Additionally, at the request of the families, New Year trees have been placed next to the Alley, which children from the families of the fallen defenders will decorate with handmade ornaments in celebration of St. Nicholas Day.
