The Deputy Mayor of Odesa, Hanna Pozdnyakova, along with the director of the municipal enterprise «Heat Supply of Odesa», Valeriy Ivanov, held a press conference discussing the preparation of the enterprise for the new heating season.

«As of today, all boilers owned by the enterprise are ready for operation. According to the schedule, the pressure testing of heating surfaces of all boilers has been completed and all identified defects have been rectified. Hydraulic pressure testing of all heating networks has also been conducted,» Valeriy Ivanov reported.

«I want to emphasize that the tariff for residential consumers remains at the level of 1813 UAH/Gcal, which was set on February 24, 2022. Regarding the specific start date for the boilers, we do not have a fixed date. According to current legislation, the heating period begins after an order from the mayor of Odesa, if the average daily temperature is +8 degrees Celsius or lower for three consecutive days. Under these temperature conditions, the enterprise will first supply heat to social facilities, and then to residential consumers. Based on the Hydrometeorological Center's data, we can confirm that the heating season in Odesa is expected to start in November,» Hanna Pozdnyakova noted.
