Last year, medical facilities in Odesa conducted 13,400 mammographic examinations, revealing over 500 suspicions of oncological conditions. Women with identified irregularities were referred for further consultations with specialists.

Mammography — a crucial cancer screening tool that enables the detection of breast tumors at early stages, as well as timely identification of precancerous conditions for treatment. Women over 40 are advised to have mammograms annually, even without any complaints.

Free mammography is included in the state medical guarantee program and is funded by the National Health Service of Ukraine for women aged 40 and older upon referral from their family or treating physician.

The medical establishments in Odesa have been equipped with modern mammography machines, and a unique Family Health Center  has been established at the Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 6 for comprehensive diagnostics and treatment of breast diseases.
