A round table took place in Odesa focusing on “Improving business conditions for veterans and internally displaced persons (IDPs)”. The event gathered members of the veteran community, local government representatives, employment center staff, and human rights experts.
The main topics of discussion revolved around employment and the growth of veteran enterprises. The conversation highlighted how support could come not only from the state level but also through local initiatives.
Success stories of projects supporting veterans were discussed. Thanks to hackathons and training sessions, over 50 veterans received financial assistance and guidance in launching their business ideas. These efforts were made possible through funding from the EU and organizations such as “Action Time”, “Smart Media”, “Ukrainian Veterans”, and “SOS Ukraine”.
The Odesa region is actively working on creating new support programs, engaging international resources and partners to foster the development of veteran businesses.
Improving conditions for veterans and IDPs is an investment in Ukraine's future.
