The event featured the deputy head of the drug crime unit of the Odesa Regional Police Department, Dmytro Chekmarov.
Third-year law and security students had the unique opportunity to receive valuable knowledge from a police specialist in combating drug crime, who shared his practical experience and emphasized the importance of collaboration between investigative and operational units.
“Fighting drug crime is a complex and multifaceted process that requires coordinated efforts from all police units. It is crucial not just to arrest drug dealers, but to identify and dismantle drug labs, as well as to trace the entire supply chain of drugs to those addicted,” stated Dmytro Chekmarov.
During the session, students learned about the specifics of conducting covert investigative activities, methods, and forms of operational search activities in this field.
The demonstration of photo and video materials from the sites of drug-related crimes sparked particular interest among the students.
