An important meeting took place at the «Protez Foundation» focusing on pre-prosthetic training. The event included veterans with prosthetics, representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and medical professionals.

The meeting began with a presentation of the prosthetics center «Protez Foundation». Participants were able to witness the process of prosthetic manufacturing and customization, as well as learn about the latest technologies used for rehabilitation.

"Pre-prosthetic training is a critical stage in the rehabilitation of our defenders,” noted the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Inna Yashchuk.

The president of the «Protez Foundation», Yuriy Aroshidze, emphasized that there are currently over 2000 individuals waiting for prosthetics. Thus, the main focus of the meeting was on a multidisciplinary approach to working with patients after amputations.

“We are grateful to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their motivation in the rehabilitation of our defenders. We want our military to feel that everything here is for them,” added Yuriy Aroshidze.

The meeting also highlighted the role of social workers in the physical and psychological rehabilitation process, as well as in facilitating veterans' reintegration into civilian life. Modern approaches to treating chronic pain and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) were discussed.

«I am extremely happy that nearly 40 of our physical therapy specialists have received training in the USA, gaining valuable practical experience,» emphasized Inna Yashchuk.

Such meetings contribute to developing an effective support system for veterans and ensure a comprehensive approach to their rehabilitation.
