Odessa's greening specialists from the Municipal Green Trust have started planting summer flowers. The floral arrangements will consist of salvia, geranium, begonia, petunia, ageratum, tagetes, and chlorophytum.

The first summer flowers have already adorned part of the Stock Exchange Square and the flowerbeds near the Primorsky District Administration, replacing the spring blooms. This year, approximately 350,000 summer flowers are planned for planting.

According to the Municipal Green Trust, summer flowers will be planted in all city districts where spring flowers have already faded.

Additionally, today the greening team planted 72 bushes.
Perennial plants, such as junipers, hibiscus, and broom, are planted with a closed root system to enhance their survival in the urban environment.

The young plants beautified the median strip on Nebesnoyi Sotni Avenue and Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue.

All floral seedlings (summer and spring flowers) and plants for vertical greening (100-150 hanging pots) are cultivated in their greenhouses at the «Rose» site. Annually, around 1 million plants are grown here, including 200-250 thousand spring flowers and 250 thousand blooming potted plants, along with about 11 thousand ornamental leafy trees.
Every year, the greening team plants approximately 40 thousand perennial plants (chrysanthemums, miscanthus, yucca, hydrangeas, irises, and others) nurtured in the company's greenhouses.
Starting in September, preparations for the following year's greenhouse planting begin. The «Rose» site spans 5 hectares and includes a greenhouse complex, hotbeds, and a utility yard, managed by 29 greening specialists and 3 engineering technicians.
Traditionally, the first spring flowers (daisies, violets, forget-me-nots, and selene) adorn Odessa in early April, later replaced by summer flowers: salvias, petunias, primroses, tagetes, and ageratum.
Furthermore, the Municipal Green Trust oversees over 547.71 hectares of land, including 16 parks, 79 squares, 7 boulevards, and 122 other green zones.
