The state will fully cover the cost of contract-based education for the children of defenders in the 2024/2025 academic year.

This was reported by the press service of the "Diia" platform.

"The first 1,000 certificates are already on their way to this year's bachelor’s and master’s graduates. Expect a notification in the 'Diia' app," the message states.

If you have already received a notification, please follow these steps:

Open "Diia" → check your details in the certificate → confirm your consent with Diia.Signature within 20 days → you will then receive a notification about the result.

The funds from the government will be sent directly to your educational institution, which will then compensate you.

Compensation will be provided to children (up to 23 years old):

• of deceased defenders of Ukraine;
• military personnel with disabilities due to the war;
• combatants;
• missing under special circumstances;
• captured due to armed aggression;
• victims of the Revolution of Dignity.

What is needed for compensation:

• ID card or biometric passport in "Diia";
• verified tax number;
• information about the student in the EDEBO and the status of the veteran's child of the appropriate category;
• contractual form of education in 2024/2025.
