On June 17, Odesa experienced a massive airstrike that damaged dozens of residential buildings in the Primorsky district. 

The most significant damages occurred in the buildings located on Olexii Markevych and Novoselsky Streets. 

As of 12:00 PM, specialists reported the following:

  •  51 residential buildings were damaged, with at least 6 suffering severe destruction;
  •  over 130 apartments were affected, many with broken windows, damaged doors, and balcony units;
  •  
  •  more than 200 square meters of roofing was destroyed;
  • in some buildings, essential services such as water and electricity were disconnected.

Emergency crews from utility services were quickly mobilized to address the aftermath. They are currently working on sealing windows, inspecting structures, and preparing for roof repairs.

All victims who lost their homes have been provided with temporary accommodation. Two families are currently housed at the Center for Social and Psychological Assistance of the Odesa City Council. 

Affected residents have been informed about the possibility of receiving financial compensation from the city for housing rental.

The city council is providing comprehensive support to the victims. Psychologists, social services, and volunteers are actively working to assist. 

The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, thanked all services for their coordinated and professional actions.

Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack are ongoing.
