In Odesa, the implementation of a project to install cogeneration units, provided by GIZ Ukraine under the SUR program, is ongoing.

The city was visited by Mr. Ralf Grotenhoff, head of the construction component of the project "Enhancing Urban Resilience in Ukraine" for a monitoring mission.

"Such meetings are systematic. Our shared goal is to ensure stable supply of heat and electricity in crisis conditions. We are also starting to explore further cooperation within new projects," noted Odesa's Deputy Mayor Anna Pozdnyakova.

The team at KP "TMO" works tirelessly. The process of installing cogeneration units is complex, requiring significant resources and the attention of leading specialists. They are making every effort to ensure the new equipment is operational for the upcoming heating season.

Support for Odesa under the SUR project is part of German transitional assistance aimed at enhancing energy independence for Ukrainian communities. It not only prepares the city for winter challenges but also lays the groundwork for long-lasting changes in urban sustainability.
