Nearly 1500 municipal workers are actively engaged in restoring Odessa following the storm that affected the city on September 4-5.
As of the morning of September 6, it has been reported that 40 trees and large branches have fallen. More information is still coming in.
The greenkeepers from the «City Green Trust» and «Housing and Utility Services» are sequentially cutting and removing fallen trees and branches. Priority is given to clearing trees in areas where they obstruct traffic or access to crucial social facilities.
Experts from the «City Roads» are working on cleaning the grates of storm drains, catch basins, and collectors. They are manually and with specialized equipment washing away and removing sand and dirt washed into the streets by rainwater.
Additionally, due to the storm, there are reports of street lighting networks being disrupted at 30 locations. Specialists from «Odessa City Light» are restoring these networks.
Moreover, municipal workers continue with scheduled tasks of cleaning designated areas, collecting and removing fallen leaves and random litter.
