The introduction of the revised subject "Ukraine's Defense" in Odesa schools and equipping classrooms with modern technology are key initiatives in the education sector.

This subject aims to instill a conscious attitude towards national defense among the youth, helping students understand the significance of safety and preparation for emergencies.

In Odesa, the country’s first eight modern centers have been established, fully equipped with necessary tools, models, and a training range. Students from several schools will learn at these centers. Experienced instructors, some of whom have undergone military training, will conduct the classes.

High school students will learn how to respond in emergencies and provide first aid. Additionally, the curriculum will include modern warfare strategies.

«In a context where you have a neighbor that is a terrorist state, this knowledge and skill set are crucial for every Ukrainian,» emphasized Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
