On May 7th at 3:00 PM, the AРТ-space of the Library on European Street, 67 will host the grand opening of the Polish-Ukrainian photo project exhibition 'Letters to the Future'.
This project emerged as a response to the ongoing turmoil in Ukraine. It calls for compassion, understanding, and support, emphasizing that shared values such as freedom, dignity, and justice are universal to all nations.
In its struggle against Russian aggression, Ukraine demonstrates immense strength and resilience. In these challenging times, it preserves and actively develops its culture and art, which play a crucial role in maintaining national identity. The mission of artists during wartime is to instill hope and emotions, contributing to the preservation and revival of the nation's spirit, and creating cultural values that will guide future generations.
Overall, the exhibition 'Letters to the Future' serves as a message from the Polish people, bringing light even in darkness.
The exhibition cycle began in December 2024 at the Municipal Gallery of Sumy, continuing in 2025 in Lviv, Kyiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Dnipro, Rivne, Chernihiv, Odesa, and then on to Kharkiv, Lublin, and Warsaw.
The exhibition features 49 photographs from 27 authors. The displayed works come from renowned and awarded Polish artists, winners of numerous competitions: Aleksandra Śmigiel, Amina Ksenżopolska, Anna Michalak, and many others.
