On December 23, 2024, the gallery «#ARTODESSA» at the Summer Theater of the City Garden hosted a conference titled «Odessa Collections».

The event gathered local collectors, cultural experts, and historians.

The main goal of the conference was to revive the tradition of the collectors' community in Odessa to actively engage in discussions about preserving Ukraine's historical and cultural heritage.

Participants discussed the future of private collection preservation, opportunities for exhibition, museification, and cataloging. An essential topic was the need for scientific research on collections.

The conference featured speakers such as Ivan Liptuga, Felix Kohrikht, Semen Kantor, Anna Golubovska, Taras Maksymyuk, Alexander Friedman, Sergey Sedyh, Dmitry Khamula, Denis Mitskevich, Alexander Surilov, Yulia Gurinenko, and Ekaterina Pimenova.

As a result of the conference, a publication on collecting titled «Universe Named Odessa» is being prepared.

The conference was organized by the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration of the Odessa City Council.
