On November 27, 2024, Deputy Mayor of Odesa Pavlo Vugelman held a working meeting with Ms. Audrey Lecomte, head of the UNICEF Regional Office in Ukraine.

During the meeting, the project «Resilient Families - Resilient Future: Transforming Child Care in Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions» was introduced, which is being implemented in partnership with the Odesa City Council.

The project aims to enhance family-based care and create conditions that allow children to remain with their families.

Special attention is given to integrated services that will support not only children but also their families in challenging life circumstances.

«We are grateful to our partners at UNICEF for this important project, which will help create new opportunities for family support in the region. Together, we strive to ensure that every child has the right to be raised in a loving and caring family,» noted Pavlo Vugelman.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the establishment of a working group to coordinate the implementation of the project.

The realization of this initiative is expected to be a significant step towards strengthening family resilience and ensuring the well-being of children in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
