The Deputy Mayor of Odesa, Pavlo Vugelman, held a meeting with the head of the UN Women Office in Ukraine, Sabina Nicole Fraser, to discuss crucial issues.

Also present were the Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy, Olena Kytainska, and the Mayor's advisor on gender equality, Liliya Leonidova.

The main topic of their dialogue was the implementation of gender policy at the local level.

The parties also discussed the status of projects aimed at assisting victims of domestic and gender-based violence.

The meeting participants reviewed the city's achievements in combating violence, particularly the establishment of specialized support services, such as day centers and mobile social-psychological assistance teams.

Additionally, representatives from the UN Women Office conducted a monitoring of women's rights and the rights of vulnerable populations in Odesa.

Based on the report, the city will receive technical and methodological support in combating gender-based violence.
