During a fishing inspection operation, state inspectors, along with border service officials and police, identified serious violations of fishing regulations.

This was reported by the regional fishery patrol.

In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Canal, a man was caught illegally catching fish using prohibited tools – nets. As a result, the violator caught 9 white amurs and 34 carp, totaling over 100 kg in weight.

The damage to Ukraine's fish stock is estimated at 158,746 hryvnias. A response team from the National Police was called to the scene. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the violator, and materials are being prepared for opening a criminal case. The police confiscated the illegally caught fish, nets, and a wooden boat.
