According to the investigation, the suspects received orders from a Russian intelligence officer to carry out sabotage at the facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia and strategically important enterprises in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district for financial reward.

Over several months, they organized arson attacks on relay and battery cabinets, transformer substations, and the buildings of local authorities.

The arsons were carried out at night using flammable substances, special equipment for opening cabinets, and pre-prepared transportation for quick movement between locations.

To confirm their actions, the suspects recorded their activities on video.

Currently, all five have been remanded in custody without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the SBU in the Odesa region.
