In Chornomorsk, Odesa region, three members of a civic organization impersonating military personnel assaulted a 41-year-old cyclist and forcibly shoved him into a car while demanding his documents. The police have charged the offenders.

Details: "The incident occurred on the road near Chornomorsk. Three young men in military uniforms blocked the cyclist's path, introduced themselves as employees of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, and began demanding documents from the 41-year-old man, accompanying their actions with physical violence".
It has been reported that the young men, according to police, have no affiliation with military service and forcefully pushed the victim into the vehicle.
The victim managed to report the incident to emergency services by dialing 102. Police located him and found that the accomplices were members of a local civic organization that lacks the authority to carry out mobilization activities.
The suspects, aged 22, 25, and 27, had their vehicle seized, which they used to hold the victim, along with membership cards from the civic organization and other evidence relevant to the investigation.
The offenders are currently facing charges for unlawfully assuming powers of authority and for illegally depriving a person of freedom, both committed in conspiracy by a group of individuals while causing physical suffering to the victim.
Under the penalties of the articles, the suspects could face up to five years in prison. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
