A man armed with two knives launched an attack on police officers who were on duty maintaining public order, resulting in injuries to the officers.

In response to the assault and to apprehend the assailant, one of the officers used his service firearm against the attacker. The assailant was hospitalized with injuries.

Additionally, the police officers sustained knife injuries and were also hospitalized.

A crime scene investigation team is currently at the location. Information regarding the incident has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to threats to the lives of law enforcement officers.
