A tragic event unfolded in Odesa's Primorsky district as underground electric cables caught fire. Rescuers discovered the body of an unidentified woman beneath the transformer station. This was reported by the State Emergency Service press office.

The incident took place yesterday evening, June 29, on Bernardazzi Street, where underground electric cables ignited within the transformer station premises. Firefighters swiftly extinguished the blaze.

"Sadly, at the fire scene, in the shaft beneath the transformer station, the body of a woman (identity is being established) was found, who reportedly died from electric shock. A total of 2 units of equipment and 8 firefighters were deployed by the SES," the statement said.
