From November 15 to 18, the Ukrainian national synchronised swimming championship for juniors and competitions for boys and girls took place in Kyiv.
Sixty-five athletes from Kyiv, Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Donetsk regions participated in the event.
Odessa was represented by talented athletes from the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve 'Chornomorets' and the Odessa Regional Comprehensive DЮSШ.
In the junior technical solo category, Odessa's Vladyslava Kocherba took first place. In the duet events, both technical and free, the Odessa pair of Sofia Sarukhanyan and Taisia Pochepynska secured a third-place finish.
The Odessa team consisting of Vladyslava Kocherba, Sofia Sarukhanyan, Yelizaveta Siedova, Taisia Pochepynska, Maria Borisova, Anastasia Borisova, Eva Havalco, Sofia Dronova, Oleksandra Futorna, and Olena Alievska won silver medals in both the technical and free programs and bronze in the acrobatic groups.
In the boys' and girls' competitions, Sofia Sarukhanyan became the champion in technical solo. The duet team of Sofia Sarukhanyan and Yelizaveta Siedova also took first place.
Additionally, the Odessa team, including Yelizaveta Siedova, Maria Borisova, Anastasia Borisova, Eva Havalco, Sofia Dronova, Oleksandra Futorna, and Olena Alievska, won gold medals in the combined groups.
The athletes were trained by coaches Olga Nikolaychuk (SDYUSHOR 'Chornomorets') and Svitlana Pershina (Odessa Regional KDYUSSH).
