Leaders of student governance from municipal secondary schools in Odesa convened the first meeting of the high school parliament for the 2024/2025 academic year.
During the session, students reviewed the Parliament's activities for the 2023/2024 academic year. The most active participants were awarded certificates from the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council.
Graduates and last year's parliament members attended to support the new candidates and share their experiences.
Following the voting results, the newly elected members of the high school parliament presidium for the 2024/2025 academic year are Alina Dildina (Kyiv district), Yelizaveta Buzinovska (Primorsky district), Milena Mala (Hadjibey district), and Daria Boyarska (Peresyp district).
Leaders of district parliaments will also join the Youth Council under the Odesa Mayor, representing the interests of local youth and participating in the formation of the city's youth policy.
During the meeting, projects for the 2024/2025 academic year were approved. Key focus areas for the Parliament include support for socially vulnerable groups, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, environmental initiatives, cultural and charitable events, volunteering, and much more.
