On December 5, 2024, a conference titled «Tourism Accessible to All» was held in Odessa.

The primary goal of the event was to unite the efforts of local authorities and businesses to enhance accessibility in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

This critical issue has been prioritized by the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine for 2024.

Despite the challenges posed by wartime, Odessa continues to welcome both domestic and international tourists, making the accessibility of infrastructure essential for all.

The conference brought together representatives of the government, businesses, and individuals with disabilities to discuss the accessibility of cultural, tourist, and hospitality venues. Medical tourism was also a topic of discussion.

«We are creating conditions where every resident and guest of the city can move freely, access necessary services, and participate in social life. Hotels, restaurants, museums, and transport must be equipped for individuals with disabilities,» emphasized Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.

Additionally, participants discussed the current state of affairs, future plans, grant programs, and the involvement of business structures in developing a barrier-free environment in Odessa.
