The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, along with the National Ecological and Naturalist Center for Student Youth, held the online super final of the National IT Championship "Ecosoft" and the national stage of the International Computer Project Competition INFOMATRIX-2024.
Based on the results of the national championship, the composition of the Ukrainian team for the final of the International Computer Project Competition INFOMATRIX-2024 was formed, which will take place from May 31 to June 4, 2024, in Bucharest (Romania).
In the super final of the national competition, eight students from Odesa Lyceum No. 65 represented Odesa. They presented projects in the fields of programming, computer animation, 3D modeling, and short films. For all participants, this was their debut competition.
At the national championship, the lyceum students received one first-degree diploma, two second-degree diplomas, and three third-degree diplomas.
The winners and prize-winners with the right to compete as part of the Ukrainian team in the final of the International Computer Project Competition INFOMATRIX-2024 were recognized as:
- Yegor Bovkun, a 10th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 65 with a 3D project "Model of the World's First Helicopter";
- Ruslan Maysko and Ivan Zmiyevskyi, 8th-grade students from Odesa Lyceum No. 65 with a film "The Meaning of Life and My Place in It".
The students were assisted in preparing their projects by computer science teachers from Odesa Lyceum No. 65, Oleg Pustovoyt and Alla Omelchenko.

This year, the students of Odesa Lyceum No. 65 set a record by representing Ukraine eight times in a row at the international level as part of the project technology team. The unique experience of Odesa Lyceum No. 65 (since 2016) was valuable for organizing national-scale events. Teachers and alumni of the educational institution were among the organizers and included in the jury of the championship. The youngest judge of the competitions was 11th-grade student Yuliya Butuk (a participant and prize-winner of the last three global finals of INFOMATRIX). Computer science teacher Oleg Pustovoyt was appointed as one of the three curators for preparing the Ukrainian team for the international final.
