On December 12, 2024, the City Tripartite Economic Council held its regular meeting.

Participants included: Deputy Mayor of Odessa Pavlo Vugelman, Chairman of the Odessa Region Trade Union Federation Vyacheslav Buratynskyi, and Chairman of the Odessa Employers' Organization Yevhen Drozd, alongside department heads from the city council and sectoral trade unions.

The agenda covered several pressing issues affecting the city's life:

- implementation of the project for building electrical stations based on cogeneration units to enhance energy security;

- progress in the City Target Program providing non-repayable financial assistance to homeowners' associations under the «Enerhodim» support program;

- organization of career guidance activities in municipal educational institutions in Odessa.

In today's context, the stability of the city's economy is crucial.

Valerii Ivanov, Director of the City Heating Supply Company, informed attendees about measures to ensure energy security in wartime. He noted that in 2023, a Memorandum was signed with the UN to enhance energy security through the establishment of a distributed generation system using 9 gas-piston cogeneration plants.

The first two plants have been received, and installation work is underway to connect them to gas, electric, and thermal networks.

«This project will help Odessa become more resilient to energy challenges, especially during past blackouts,» emphasized the speaker.

Maria Lisnichenko, Deputy Head of the Tariff Policy Department, presented information on the progress of the «Enerhodim» program and financial support for homeowners' associations aimed at energy efficiency measures.

In 2024, 11 homeowners' associations received non-repayable financial assistance totaling over 3.7 million UAH. The continuation of this program is planned for 2025.

A stable economic condition is vital for quality employment, especially for young people. The Department of Education and Science of the City Council provided information on career guidance initiatives for students.

The final part of the meeting focused on the Council's work plans for the upcoming year 2025.
