On October 29th, in observance of World Stroke Day, medical institutions in Odessa conducted a Stroke Prevention Day aimed at identifying risk factors for stroke development. The event was organized with the support of the Odessa City Council’s Health Department and the Odessa City Health Center.

On this day, all interested individuals could undergo free preventive screenings, including measuring blood pressure, pulse rate, blood glucose levels, undergoing ECGs, and receiving referrals for laboratory tests and specialist consultations. Doctors provided patients with recommendations for stroke prevention.

This allowed for the first detection of 294 cases of elevated blood pressure and 102 cases of high blood glucose levels. A total of 867 ECGs were performed, with 136 patients referred for cardiologist consultations. Additionally, 895 individuals were sent for laboratory tests.
