The children’s municipal clinical hospital No. 3 in Odesa has launched a state-of-the-art emergency, urgent, and trauma care department, marking the introduction of a dedicated pediatric trauma center in the Peresyp district.
The facility is equipped with the latest medical technology, ensuring comfort for patients and medical staff alike. All beds are fitted with oxygen points, and particular attention was paid to accessibility and inclusion during renovations.
Since late 2023, surgical interventions have commenced, with approximately 150 surgeries performed, including over 100 ENT procedures.
In 2024, the emergency, urgent, and trauma care department, surgical unit, and endoscopic suite were fully operational. Since then, nearly 1000 surgical interventions have been conducted, including over 800 trauma procedures and around 70 endoscopic surgeries.
To date, 2735 young patients have been admitted to the updated departments: 1375 to the surgical unit and 1360 to the trauma unit. The high quality of medical care is evidenced by the absence of complications following surgical procedures.
The children's hospital also features a modern receiving and diagnostic department with isolated Melzer boxes, ensuring a high level of infection control and preventing the spread of nosocomial infections.
Little Odesans now have access to a contemporary pediatric clinic, equipped according to the latest medical requirements, where qualified healthcare professionals provide quality medical care under the state medical guarantee program.
