In Odesa, law enforcement agencies have detained a military officer suspected of abusing his position. The individual was demanding a bribe in exchange for helping to remove a conscript from the wanted list and declaring him unfit for service. He has been charged, facing severe penalties, including imprisonment and asset confiscation.
Investigators discovered that a mobilization accounting specialist was soliciting 25,000 UAH for a promise to influence relevant authorities to exempt the man from conscription. During operational measures, law enforcement documented multiple installments of the bribe.

After receiving the total amount, the suspect was arrested in accordance with the law. Sufficient evidence has been gathered, and he has been charged under an article that carries a penalty of up to eight years in prison with asset confiscation. A preventive measure is being determined.

The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Odesa prosecutor's office.
