The 45-year-old soldier assured a conscript that with the obtained certificate, he would avoid an actual military draft. In return, he demanded a sum of four thousand dollars, claiming he could use his influence over officials in command.
After the money was handed over, the suspect was arrested, and the funds were seized. The police are investigating the case under the supervision of the Odesa Prosecutor's Office.
