Dmitry Yaremchuk, a soldier from Odesa, tragically died while performing a combat mission in the Bakhmut area. He was only 44 years old. His farewell ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow, April 4.

In the Southern territorial community, it was reported that Senior Sergeant Dmitry Yaremchuk served as a machine gunner in the mechanized battalion of military unit A0666. He lost his life on March 4 this year while carrying out a combat assignment near the settlement of Pivnichne in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region.

"We express our sincere condolences to Dmitry's family, his relatives, and comrades. Eternal and bright memory to the Defender of Ukraine who sacrificed his life for our homeland!"

On April 4, a Day of Mourning has been declared in the community. As a sign of grief, we ask all to lower the state flags on buildings and structures in the community," the statement reads.
